4 STAR SPACER UNIT

The simple four star spacer unit with central hole accurately locates and spaces four or five strands (or other 10-20mm dia components). It then fits into a 50mm ID duct or, with the addition of a skid centraliser, into a 80mm dia borehole

The central hole may be utilised for an additional tendon or bar or for a 20mm dia grout tube.

The six star spacer unit with central hole accurarately locates and spaces(with a 5mm clearance) six or seven strands (or other 10 to 20mm dia components). The component bundle then fits into a 70mm ID duct or borehole or, with the addition of a skid centraliser, into a 100mm dia. borehole.

The central hole may be utilised for an additional tendon or bar or for a 20mm dia grout tube.

The GA100 spacer/centraliser unit efficiently controls the location of 8 peripheral strands on a 90mm PCD and four strands within the central core. The protruding, specially shaped 'wings' ensure the require 10mm cover requirement for anchor codes and the surface profile is designed for ease of entry for bearing capacity. Fig 10 in the British Standard for Ground Anchorages was based on the original design profile of this well-used and well-proven system.

Strands are accurately provided with a 5mm clearance complying with anchor code requirements (BS8081 clause….) and cover requirement of 10mm.

It is particularly appropriate for high capacity temporary anchor works, ensuring tendon alignment, control and spacing with bore diameter greater than 100mm. Alternatively strands can fit within a ducted system.

The system is well-proven in over 20 years of usage in the industry.

The GA125 complements the GA100 in performance but allows the use of higher capacity tendons. 9 strands are located on a 100mm PCD and up to 4 strands may be contained in the core. Alternatively, the core may carry a grout pipe of diameter up to 35mm.

The assembled unit may be installed in boreholes or ducts of diameter greater than 125mm and the designed 'wings' provide both bearing capacity and appropriate profile for installation.
