BAR SPACER/CENTRALISERS (Ref : GD-BSC15 to BSC50)

The bar spacer/centraliser system (BSC15 -50) provides a number of simply-fitting, robust, wrap-around components that fix rigidly to steel, other metal or synthetic bars as generally used for anchoring, soil nailing or minipiling. The system is appropriate for bar diameters ranging from 15mm to 50mm inclusive.

When fitted they provide 45mm cover to the bar surface which exceeds the cover requirement on the majority of appropriate Codes of Practice.

Spacer/centralisers are made from durable, high-density polypropylene plastic and the units are designed for strength, ease of installation and bearing capacity. Keys on the underside ensure that the units, tightly banded with plastic zip ties, are prevented from sliding along the tendons. Upstands for the plastic ties ensure the integrity of the tie,

The choice of spacing of the units along the tendon is determined by the length and weight of the bars or strands.
